I am writing this blog in an attempt to get various thoughts out of my head and onto a screen, and to perhaps find/share some inspiration from/with my readers.
One thing that always brightens up a workplace is chocolate, and since today was a prime chocolate eating day, I went out and bought a whole heap of chocolate to share with all the staff here. Chocolate is always good but I can’t help but feel that we are somewhat deprived of the really good stuff here in Australia. I remember when I was in Italy in 1996 I could easily find this magnificent chocolate called Gianduia – this stuff really rocked – and made Lindt seem like crap. Who knows, after I go to Europe in 2005 I might see what I can do about importing some of that chocolate into Australia. Don’t be surprised, dear reader if you find me talking about importing this or that into Australia a fair bit. Whilst we are extremely blessed in terms of the fresh produce, meat, fish and dairy products here in Australia – there’s always that extra special stuff that you can’t seem to find here that easily. Mmmm, room for further thought there.
