What a slacker…

May 31st, 2007

It’s been nearly 7 weeks since I’ve written anything here – that’s very poor form Brian. Not that I don’t have anything to write about – it’s been more a question of time and inclination…

Quick summary.

Olivia has landed herself a new job for another private medical group – YAY Olivia!

Work has been hectic – with the travels I’ve done in the last month and what I’ve got coming up in the next month I will have covered: Germany, France, Ireland, Monaco, Spain, Singapore and Taiwan. Can’t complain about that, can I…

Spent a weekend in York with friends from Oz – Kate and Heath. Was fantastic – photos to follow.

On Saturday Olivia and I will be heading out to Morocco for two weeks holidays. We’ve talked about going to Morocco for years, so it’s really exciting that it’s finally happening. In the brave/foolish category – we’ve only booked accommodation for our first four nights – after that we’re not sure exactly where we’ll be. Should be quite the adventure. Don’t tell my mum about any of this though – she’s not keen on us going.. Reminds me of the time that I was nearly going to go to Israel for work, and the first my mum was going to know about it was when she received my postcard… tee hee :-) Cheeky boy that I am.

I’ve decided to take the plunge and invest in a digital SLR camera. I’ve only had my Nikon D80 a couple of days and am very excited. Definitely less forgiving than a point and shoot compact digital camera. I’ve got a lot to learn. Morocco should provide plenty of excellent subject material…

Cheers people – looking forward to giving an extended report on Morocco when we get back.. Just hope that Olivia doesn’t trade me in for 50 camels and a hand-woven carpet :-)
