Just landed in Charlotte a couple of hours ago after a very restful flight – gotta love business class…
The first thing that has struck me is that the cars here are MASSIVE…
- So many 4-wheel drives… and I mean the big f*** off ones.
- The petrol here is quite cheap – about AUD$0.60 per litre..
Anyone else see a connection between the above two statements?
From what little I’ve seen on the 30min drive from the airport to the hotel, this place is truly vast. Definitely a hell of a lot more space than in the UK, but I’d venture to say that things are way more spread out than in Australia as well. Suppose the people need all this space around which to drive their big cars.
My colleagues tell me that the steak here is the best in the world, (and I’d trust their judgement on this) – so I’ll hopefully see tonight what the go is.
